About Grimm Scientific Industries
Grimm Scientific Industries makes sports medicine equipment for athletes at every level. They design and engineer the products and keep maintaining them after they ship. They want gear that performs and holds its price, and they care how it looks.
The business challenge
Until the early 2000s, Grimm Scientific Industries ran the business on spreadsheets. Data entry and report building ate hours every week, and those hours cost money. Grimm expected fast growth and could see the spreadsheets would not keep up. They wanted software that would automate the core work and cut the manual load, so they could keep oversight and control as they got bigger.
What we did
We built a scalable ERP from the ground up. It covered what Grimm needed right away and left room to grow. The system automates operations end to end, and we designed it around the way the company already worked, so staff kept the processes they knew. With far less manual data entry, efficiency and accuracy went up across the whole organization.
What happened
Grimm Scientific Industries still runs on the system Imagi-tech (formerly Paradynamix) built, and we still support it and extend it as new needs come up. Since the first rollout the company has quadrupled in size. The time automation freed up went into building the business.
Key benefits
- Invoicing is fully automated inside the system, credit card processing included. Accounting runs on a cleaner workflow now, with fewer errors.
- An integrated dashboard shows employees company priorities and incoming orders in real time, along with customer complaints and critical alerts. Everyone works from the same picture and can respond fast.
- Manufacturing is automated too. Cost accounting goes down to the individual part, and Engineering Change Order (ECO) management is built in, which gives production tighter accuracy and control.
