Will our reports still work after the migration?
Yes. We document every report before we start and verify each one produces the same numbers in the new system before we close the project out.
Will our team have to relearn their job?
No. Keeping the daily workflow the same is a requirement we hold ourselves to. The database changes underneath; how your team gets their work done does not.
What happens to our data?
You own it throughout. We run both systems in parallel until every number agrees, then hand over the new system, the data and the documentation.
How long does a migration take?
A typical Access migration runs three to six months. Larger systems with heavy data cleaning take longer, and we scope it in writing before we start.
What if the original developer isn't available?
That is the usual situation. We reverse-engineer what we need from the database itself; we do not need the original developer.
