Athens Mold and Machine is an American-owned and operated company that machines tire molds. Their on-staff CNC programmers build the 3D models the molds are cut from.
The business challenge
Athens Mold and Machine’s IT situation could not go on as it was. They had no IT department and no plan for a disaster, and their network security was spotty. We happened to reach out about working together at the right moment and were able to offer our help.
What we did
Athens Mold and Machine knew they needed help and were unsure how much. We ran an IT audit of the facility and concluded the best course was to rebuild the network infrastructure from the ground up, as a fresh setup we could fully document. Anything left over would be handled case by case with modern tools. Imagi-tech took over as their IT experts and advised on next steps.
What happened
Age was only part of the problem with their IT infrastructure. The equipment was too small for a business their size: a little router from the ISP was carrying several powerful computers and systems. As their IT team, we specified suitable new hardware and began installing it. Once it was hooked up, we started cleaning up their network and other services.
