Migrate and prototype
Data gets checked as it leaves the old system and again when it lands. Before cutover you test a working front end against real records.
Parallel run and hand off

Will we lose our data or our reports?
No. During the review we list the reports people run and rebuild each one as part of the scope. The month-end report comes across with everything else.
